Whistel a company based out of Mumbai, India has come up with its own series of Android powered tablets under the Brand name IRA . The 3 Tablets are called IRA Thing E, IRA E & IRA Icon E. All of thes tablets have a 7.0 inch Screen and are running on either Android 2.2 Froyo / 2.3 Gingerbread OS or Linux OS.
The Prominent Features Over Aakash Tablet:
- IRA has entered the market with cheap prices ranging between INR 4,000 and INR 5,500 ( approx. US$80-$110).
- 7-inch display capacitive touch screen with a built-in WCDMA 3G Internet access and WiFi Support
- Battery is 4000ma capacity.
- Powered by the WonderMedia PRIZM WM8650 ARM SoC
- 720p HD video support and a built-in camera (specs of which have not been revealed.)
